The music industry is grieving in the wake of Nipsey Hussle’s death, with
The rapper didn’t tell his team or primary security guard that he would be making the solo trip to the store, which is why no one in his camp was aware he’d even left his home.
Nipsey’s former prison friend was one of the other two people who were injured in Sunday’s shooting. The third male was reportedly the friend’s nephew, who drove him to the El Lay store.
As we reported, Nipsey and the other two men were gunned down by a shooter who walked up to the three of them and fired multiple rounds before fleeing in a waiting car. The gunman reportedly circled back to shoot the rapper multiple times, then kicked him in the head before leaving. Nipsey died from his wounds to the head and torso.
The Los Angeles Police Department has since
The suspect was arrested back in 2012 in El Lay and charged with two felonies for carrying a loaded firearm. He went on to work out a deal with prosecutors and pled no contest to one felony charge and was sentenced to six months in L.A. County jail.
Holder was ordered not to “own, use or possess any dangerous or deadly weapons, including firearms, knives or other concealable weapons,” per The Blast sources.
Years before his arrest over the firearm possession, Holder was arrested in 2009 and charged with domestic battery against his baby momma. He worked out a deal to complete an anger management treatment program and stay 100 yards away from the woman.
The accused murderer’s anger management treatment program was classified as level 3, meaning a minimum 36 hour – 52 hour course that covers handling stress, talking out problems, and taking time outs.
Sources familiar with the situation say that Holder had been treated for mental health issues in the past. He is currently being held on $7,040,000 bail for Nipsey’s murder.
