Wendy Williams revisits her feud with Howard Stern.
On Monday’s episode of her hit daytime talk show, The Wendy Williams Show host discussed the shock jock’s
Back in March, Wendy went on-air and accused the 65-year-old of going soft, commenting:
“He’s a Hollywood insider now, which sucks because you started like me, being of the people, but at some point, you sat behind that microphone for too long, and now you are the people.”
Needless to say, the former America’s Got Talent judge was PISSED, and fired back by saying:
“Jealous bitch… You are nobody to me. You’ll never be me. You’ll never be me. You can pretend to be me, you can pretend to be like me, but you’re not… What a c**t. What a f**king bug-eyed c**t. F**k you. You heard me, f**k off, c**t!… The last time I had her in here, she was giving me some real attitude about this Hollywood crap. You have those big fake tits and I’m Hollywood? Shut the f**k up. C**t.”
Despite his insults, on her May 13 segment, Williams called Stern one of the “most influential people” who has shaped her career, explaining:
“Howard, I read the article of you on the front of The Hollywood Reporter and I saw that you mentioned me and that you apologized. Howard, you know what, if you never apologize to me ever in your life, you would still be one of the most influential people shaping my career.”
Though “he went on the air and ripped [her] a new one for no damn reason,” Wendy told her audience:
“I love him and my heart was so broken when he was fighting with me.”
While speaking to the publication, Stern expressed remorse for his rant, which has since been pulled from rerun airings. He exclaimed:
“That was me at my worst. I thought she was saying that I was a piece of s**t and I sucked. But as [I hear it] now, I don’t see it as an offense at all. If ‘Hollywood’ means that I’ve evolved in some way and the show has changed, then yeah, she hit the nail on the head.’”
In the article, the “King of All Media” also revealed he had a cancer scare two years ago.
On Wednesday, May 10, 2017, after canceling that day’s show, Stern went under the knife to remove a growth on his kidney that had a 90% chance of being cancerous. Prior to this, the radio personality attended a series of doctor visits due to his low white blood cell count.
He told THR:
“And now all I’m thinking is, ‘I’m going to die’… And I’m scared sh**less.’”
Fortunately, the growth turned out to be a tiny, harmless cyst.
Health issues aside, Stern is “at a place now where [he is] trying to figure out how to spend the rest of [his] life, however long that might be” as his contract with SiriusXM — worth a reported $90 million a year — expires at the end of 2020.
